mrk at 17:39 Mark - which instructions did you use to install GPSBabel for Linux On our machine it doesnt appear to be installed under /usr/local/bin. Download program GPSBabel from a safe source, and explore all extensions, that the GPSBabel supports. especially all those old NG TOPO! files into GPX. You should try running gpsbabel on the commandline to see if the executable was successfully installed and executes without error - basically, sanity check the install. GPSBabel saves the day when it comes to file conversions. but it does not run on linux which I use. Personally, the best I have found is Topofusion. That exact reason is why I started looking for other mapping solutions.
